David and IADP (International Association of Development Partners) have many years of development experience working among less fortunate communities in Kenya. The interactions they have had with these communities have resulted into these new initiative of volunteer challenge. It is a new way of communicating the needs of these communities as well as raising support. This how and why volunteer challenge was born.
Kenya (see map below) has a wide range of environmental features. From deserts conditions in the north to snow capped mountains in the centre, and sandy coastlines in the east to freshwater lakes in the west. The savannah grasslands, which still holds a wide range of wildlife, to fertile agricultural plantations in the highlands, extinct volcanoes and coral reefs.

Kenya is straddled across the equator, touching the Indian Ocean to the southeast and lake Victoria in the west. She borders Uganda to the west, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia and Indian Ocean to the East, and Tanzania to the South.
